- Treatment-resistant depression or anxiety
- Substance use concerns or recovery support needs

We offer free consultations to help you determine if our services are the right fit for your needs. During this consultation, we'll discuss your concerns and explore how we can best support you.
What should I expect during my first therapy session?
Your first session is an intake appointment (60-75 minutes) where we'll:
- Review your personal history and current concerns
- Discuss your goals for therapy
- Answer any questions you have about our approach
- Develop a preliminary treatment plan
- Ensure you feel comfortable and safe in our therapeutic environment
This session helps us understand your unique needs and determine the best therapeutic approach. We prioritize creating a safe, non-judgmental space where you can share openly.
How long does a typical therapy session last?
Session lengths vary by service type:
- Individual Therapy: 50-55 minutes (standard) or 90 minutes (extended)
- Couples & Family Therapy: 55-60 minutes (standard) or 90 minutes (extended)
- EMDR Standard Session: 60 minutes

We'll discuss session length recommendations during your initial consultation based on your specific needs and treatment goals.
Do you offer online or virtual therapy sessions?
Yes, we offer both in-person and virtual therapy sessions to accommodate your preferences and needs. Many of our services can be conducted via secure telehealth platforms, including:
- Individual therapy sessions
- Couples and family therapy
- EMDR therapy (standard sessions)
- Recovery coaching sessions
- Group therapy programs
Note: EMDR Intensives and Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP) sessions are typically conducted in-person due to the nature of these treatments. We'll discuss the best format for your specific treatment during your consultation.
How many therapy sessions will I need to see results?
Treatment duration varies based on individual needs, goals, and the type of therapy:
- Short-term therapy: 8-12 sessions for specific concerns or skill-building
- EMDR Intensives: 1-5 days for accelerated trauma processing
- KAP Program: 6-week structured program with 2-4 medicine sessions
- Ongoing therapy: Longer-term support for complex trauma, chronic conditions, or personal growth
Many clients begin to notice improvements within the first few sessions. We regularly review progress with you and adjust treatment plans as needed. Your therapist will work with you to establish realistic expectations and treatment timelines.
What is EMDR therapy and how does it work?
EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is an evidence-based therapy specifically designed to treat trauma, PTSD, and other distressing experiences. It helps the brain reprocess traumatic memories so they no longer feel overwhelming or cause emotional distress.
During EMDR sessions, your therapist will guide you through bilateral stimulation (eye movements, taps, or sounds) while you focus on a traumatic memory. This process helps your brain's natural healing mechanisms process and integrate the memory, reducing its emotional charge.
EMDR is particularly effective for:
- Single-incident trauma
- Complex or developmental trauma
- PTSD symptoms
- Anxiety and panic disorders
- Grief and loss
- Attachment wounds
What are EMDR Intensives and who are they for?
EMDR Intensives are accelerated trauma treatment programs that compress months of therapy into 1-5 consecutive days. They're ideal for:
- 1-Day Intensive (3.5 hours): Single-incident trauma or specific triggers
- 2-Day Intensive (7 hours): Multiple trauma experiences or deeper processing needs
- 3-Day Intensive (12-15 hours): Complex trauma with prior therapy experience
- 5-Day Intensive (20-25 hours): Developmental trauma, multiple trauma experiences, or professionals with limited availability
Intensives include preparation, intensive EMDR work, aftercare planning, and follow-up sessions. They're particularly beneficial for clients who want rapid results or have limited time for weekly therapy.
What is Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP)?
Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP) combines low-dose ketamine with psychotherapy to help clients access deeper emotional healing and reduce symptoms of treatment-resistant conditions. Ketamine increases neuroplasticity, allowing for deeper processing of emotions and trauma.
Our 6-Week KAP Transformation Program includes:
- Psychiatric evaluation and medical clearance
- Personalized preparation sessions
- 2-4 ketamine therapy sessions (sublingual administration)
- Integration therapy sessions
- Aftercare plan and ongoing support
KAP is especially effective for treatment-resistant depression, PTSD, complex trauma, and anxiety disorders that haven't responded to traditional treatments.
Is KAP safe? What are the side effects?
KAP is conducted under medical supervision with comprehensive safety protocols. We require medical clearance before beginning treatment and monitor clients throughout the process.
Common side effects during sessions may include:
- Mild dissociation or altered perception
- Nausea (rare, and we have protocols to manage this)
- Temporary changes in blood pressure
These effects are typically mild and resolve quickly. We provide a safe, supportive environment with trained professionals present throughout the session. KAP is not appropriate for individuals with certain medical conditions, which we screen for during the evaluation process.
What is Recovery Coaching and how is it different from therapy?
Recovery Coaching is a peer-based support service focused on goal-setting, accountability, and practical support for individuals in recovery. Unlike therapy, which addresses underlying psychological issues, recovery coaching focuses on:
- Setting and achieving recovery goals
- Building life skills and healthy routines
- Providing accountability and support
- Connecting with community resources
- Supporting professional and personal development
Our recovery coaches are certified professionals who work alongside therapy to provide comprehensive support. We offer standard recovery coaching, concierge services with 24/7 access, and peer support programs.
